Has anybody taken any hogs, or seen very many this season? I noticed at wal-mart they have all the hog bait products out, so just got me wondering.

We've got em all over out lease.  Some guy that has a lease adjacent to ours let about 100 go right before bow season.  They destroyed our food plots and ate most of our corn.  I shot 2 opening morning of bow season and we've probobly trapped 10-15.  Now that deer season's over we're about to get serious on em.

The guy who let them loose must be a total @$$-hat.

On the positive side of things, at least you will have plenty of hunting opportunities this spring and summer. headbang

Yeah, the only problem is we don't have just a whole lot of acres on this lease so it's kinda hard to get away from em.  If we don't get the big majority of em out by bow season we can count on having another mediocre deer season.  I don't think anybody in the lease has a problem shootin hogs though.  It's definitely BBQ season!!!  As for the guy that turned them loose, I found out not only is he a member of the lease adjacent to us, he is a member of our lease too!!!  He's an older guy that mostly squirrel hunts and I guess he got bored and decided to change things up.  Needless to say, he WON'T be a member of our lease this year, although that probobly won't deter him much.

Just saw a thing this weekend saying the Arkansas House Committee approved a $1000 per hog fine for anybody caught releasing hogs on public or private land. icon_thumright

Where did you find hogs in White Rock? I'd be real interested in going there. That is about the closest place to me that I've heard of public land with hogs.
