I"ve never even seen a wild hog while hunting. I guess there aren't many in my neck of the woods. If I saw one the only decision I'd have to make is to turn it into bacon or sausage though!

Nice to have a resident hog hunter on the board. Where and how are you taking all these big guys?

I do most of my hunting in Ouachita,Clark and Calhon counties.I use dogs I try to catch all the hogs I get on.Most of the time if I'm going to kill a hog I catch it first, well the dogs catch it,then i'll tie it. Here is a 200lb boar hog caught and tied

Wow that is awesome. Looks like you have some HUGE hogs around there. What is the biggest you've killed? Weight wise?

I've caught some hogs that have went over 400lbs.The largest that I've put on some scales was 480lbs it was a barr hog that I caught in Calhon Co. It takes a big wild hog to go 400lbs.Most of the big hogs we catch go around 200 to 275lbs any thing over that is kinda what I'd call really big. The average size hog is somewhere around 100to 150lbs. Most all pics that I post the hogs are alive ther legs will be tied.
