dburl, I have never seen this deer with my naked eye, but if I ever do may the god of the flying arrow smile on me. If not this season, maybe next. Thats why its called a dance.

Deerdoctor says depending on the deers forage, it is either 3.5 or 4.5 years old and that the deer aging app for iphone is well worth the money.

I think the deer is 4.5 years old. Another thing to notice about the deer is he has a cripple right hind foot. I have always heard that a deers antler will be messed up on the oppisite side of an injured leg, but my dancing deer's antler is messed up on the same side. Whatever.

I promise, this is the last picture I will post of this deer.....   until I'm in the picture too.  icon_thumright

I know what you mean about the physical injury being displayed in a bucks antlers. I still can't remember if it is on the same or opposite side. I killed a buck a few weeks ago that had one side of his antlers broken off in velvet and had horn rot. When we cleaned him my nephew discovered that he only had one testicle. I forgot to check sides.
