I think it would be considered antlerless.

That's a really good question.  I know button bucks count as bucks, but I don't know if bucks that have lost their antlers count as bucks.

If I harvest a button buck, does it count as a buck or a doe?

It counts as a buck.

Really good question Deer Slayer, and honestly I don't know the answer. Not sure how they would ticket somebody for taking a buck that had no antlers.

What are you supposed to do, scope their nutsack?

A button buck does count as a buck harvest, I thank this time of the year would be hard to tell buck from doe when they have already have dropped their horns. So I guess you would scope their nutsack laughing4.But you would want to make sure you didn't shoot them off, because then you would be right back to anterless and nothing to show that it was a buck. laughing4 laughing4 laughing4

Believe it or not, one of my best buddies' dad actually did this!!  He shot a deer and told us to go look for blood and track/find it but where he shot all we found was a johnson and one nut!!  Not kidding!!

Question is though would you get a ticket if you thought you were shooting a doe?

I actually would like to know myself.  I may actually get to hunt this weekend   headbang and would really like to know what to tag it as if I stick an antlerless buck.

I would venture to say that a buck is a buck regardless of headgear. He would fall in the less than 2 inches group.  I would also think that as long as you had a buck tag you would be safe.
