ok i have looked  at  a hundred reviews on trail cams and it appears to be like a black hole in space from bass pro, gander mtn,& cabellas reviews are as far apart as fort smith and lake village i am at the point where i think i will wait on them to improve aka get the bugs out my wife was going to buy me one for christmas but i told her to wait because i can not tell her which brand to buy you can usually spend  more and get better quality but with these cameras even that seems a far fetch any ideas greatly appreciated BUCKAROO.

It is a little bit hit or miss, but I wouldn't necessarily wait to buy one or you'll be waiting forever. Cuddebacks have a pretty good reputations. I have a stealth cam, and sometimes it has a slow trigger, but it was only $100 so I'm not really complaining. Have had it for two years.

Most of the manufacturers are pretty good about taking the cameras back if they mess up fairly quickly. I would just buy one within your budget, they are really fun to have throughout the year and well worth the money in my opinion, even if they don't have all the kinks worked out.

Stealth cams aren't bad for the money. Moultrie's suck, or so I've heard. ALways hearing people complain about them. Cuddebacks are pretty good and there are a lot of high dollar ones out there. For me I just get a mid-grade and it'll last a few years and it's worth it. And most of the time they don't all-out break they'll just maybe miss a few pics or put out a few blurry ones.

I know people who swear by each brand, but I would just get whichever offers the best deal. I don't understand why people want dang 12.0 megapixels or whatever for their cameras. I just need a basic image, and if it shoots some video that is cool too. But I'm not looking for professional looking images or anything.
