What do you guys use for deer supplements. I've tried about everything on the market from corn to buck grub to salt licks to apples. I hate to feed corn because I know it is like candy to and not very nutritious. I've stopped at apple orchards before and collected all the rotten apples on the ground. Seem to work well but have to have one close to you to get your hands on them.
Just wondering what you guys lose and what you like the best.

Buck grub is rice bran ,i use mineral salt ,deer coke, corn, apples i bought 300 lbs of rice bran last year and never had any luck i have seen deer eat it at my old lease but in Garland county no luck at all, they like corn the best but they get little nutrition out of it

C'mere deer is also mostly rice bran. In some places it is hard to get them to try it. You can mix corn into it to get them started. Once they are on it... it is like crack. I have a place that I can't get them to touch it. It will stay there till it sours, but my brother tagged out before gun season last year and didn't shoot one farther than 5 feet from the rice bran.

I use BioRock during the summer and use biologic foodplot seeds such as Clover Plus and Sudden Impact. I also feed about 4000lbs of rice bran during the winter and 2000lbs of corn to the bears! I believe the BioRocks are what put the antlers on the deer.

I like peanut butter. I bought a jar earlier this year. I screwed the cap onto a tree with the threads facing out. I put the jar back on the cap and cut the bottom out. I put it out at 9:30 and by 12:30 I had a deer on trail cam with it's nose in the jar.
As far as nutrition goes, I am sure it has some benefit. As for attraction, it works and it's cheap!

Surely it at least gives as much protein as acorns.

I agree Kevin. Besides, if it doesn't work and you get hungry, all you need is crackers...

The deer have been tearing up the rice bran. Saturday at dark I put out a 50lb bag in a pile. I went back before daylight on Sunday and bumped some deer off of it. The whole pile was gone. It usually lasts a little longer than that.

I have found the best place to purchase deer feed/supplements is at a local Feed Store. Just purchased some High grade corn mixed with persimmon scent and some Sweet feed oats, mixed with corn and molasses today. Either of these will work, especially during the cold months ahead. A less expensive route would be to collect persimmons off of trees and refrigerate them until you want to use them later in the season. Whatever works for you is what is best! Have a great season.

BUCK BRAN! Its the cheapest at wal-mart and the deer absolutely love it! Persimmon flavored corn has been working awesome for me too. Acorn rage droppin block not to bad. Buck bran has been amazing though! I mixed corn and Acorns in a full 5 gallon bucket with C'mere Deer and put it behind my house and it was gone the next day!
I haven't had much luck with Swamp donkey powder or pellets, buck licker salt blocks, bucker up, Greens enraged or juiced. I have a few trail cameras I watch like its a job.
