I have a stand i sit in every year, no matter the conditions. Have sat in it probably 10 years straight and it comes with a buck guarantee! Overlooks a hay field and deer come out and graze in the morning and get scared across it throughout the day as hunters on neighboring lands spook them. It's a big time travel corridor.

I'll be hunting in Buck Range either in a lean to in an oak flat or in a tower on a highline. I have three favorite stands that I almost have to hunt as a ritual on opening weekend.

I hope to be in my climber, in a tree, in this bottom I finally found my way to out in Winona.  I watched a nice big chocolate buck from about 75 yards away in there Saturday evening.  He had his nose to the ground and had no interest in coming my way but I hope that changes this weekend.

Is it supposed to rain? Good for the duck hunters, but you're right, may have to hit up that box stand.
