I was just seeing how many of you have actually seen a good buck on your feeder in daylight hours or over a pile of feed.
I have only seen a few 2.5 yr old bucks come to feed in my life.

Most of the bucks I've seen and heard of from friends and family came to a pile of rice bran. I have had a corn feeder running for 3 years and have not seen any bucks over 1.5 years old. The bigger ones seem to come at night.

My dad killed a descent 2.5 yr old, 8 pt off my stand, first day of gun season. He saw 9 bucks come to my rice bran that morning, and 3 were legal to shoot. That is the only day and few of the times I have even ever heard of bucks coming to it.
I usually dont hunt over my feeders. I hunt away from them, where the bucks would cruise looking for does.
I have a lot of cam picks of bucks on the feeder at night time.
I was just wondering if I was the only one experiencing this behavior.

By and large I agree that bucks won't come to corn feeders. But as with anything, I can think of several exceptions.  I don't think the corn is the problem, I think the feeder may be the problem. I'm just guessing, but I know that this deer was seen several times in corn before it was harvested. I also know of a 10pt that was killed in corn with a bow last year. The picture I posted in the gallery is the only mature deer I have on film standing in corn, in the day time this year. I have 3 other good bucks on film, but only at night. In all these the corn was poured on the ground, not from feeders. On TV you can see good deer at feeders, but I've wondered if those were inside a fence.

I belive he told me it green scored, 150-155, unofficial. Said before he killed it he had seen it several times and figured the buck would go 160 class, but it is only 16-17inches wide.

He had this buck at 15 yds with a bow, over corn, and got the shaky-shaky's, got him later with his rifle. Cheesy

I have always put my corn out by hand at mid to late afternoon.  I have had alot of does come in and out during the day and night. Young bucks would come in early morn or late afternoon. The big and older bucks would come in at night unless they were seaching for a doe and would cruse the edge of the feeding area. I went and bought a feeder that would sling at morn and evening and I only had one deer come to it the whole time I used it. At my place the  I have found old 4in pvc about 4ft long with a 90 on the end wired to a tree. That is what my wifes older inlaws used for corn feeders. They would place about 4 or 5 around where they hunted. silent feeder i guess.

I've got a pvc like that and I just can't keep it full. I don't have time to go fill it every other day. It works well though. I have put all kinds of different feed in it (rice bran, corn, sweet feed).
