Hey everyone...well.. looks like 'll be moving to Fayetteville in the next few months and was curious as to the hunting in Arkansas. Ive grown up in the MTN's of Northern Idaho, and Western WA, hunting deer, bear, elk, mt lion..you name it. The Army now sees fit to re-station me. I am curious as to some info on the hunting in Northwestern, AR. How is the deer an bear hunting up there? I also hear there are red fox and good bobcat hunting too? is that true???

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Dave

Hey Dave, welcome to the forum.

I have heard of a lot of bear kills in the Ozark National Forest and White Rock WMA - White Rock is in Crawford/Franklin/Johnson/Madison/Washington counties in Northwest Arkansas.

You can check out the White Rock map on our WMA maps page. Also I think Piney Creeks usually produces a few bears. It is in Newton/Johnson/Pope.

You'll have a few decent WMAs for deer in that area, like Wedington and White Rock.
