Mule Deer

I think I mentioned this the other day, but I saw this big mule deer on the side of the road about 10 miles from the house over the weekend. He was way out there, but I zoomed in as far as I could (200mm). Pics are kinda blurry because my vibration reduction is jacked up, but you can get an idea. Pretty big guy.

That's a good muley. Shooting one with my bow is on my bucket list. I guess spot and stalk is the best, or are there other good ways of harvesting the beast?

At the location he is, spot and stalk would be about the only option. I have no idea where he even came from. There are no trees within probably a mile or so, and those are just few lining the river. No substantial forests until you get past my house into Medicine Bow National Forest. He was a long ass way from shelter, I'll just leave it at that.
