When it comes to a trophy buck, which is more important to you: tall tines or a wide rack?

Personally, I'd rather harvest a buck with a wide rack.

Wizard, I have to go for the tine length.  Those tall tines catch my eye everytime, more so than the width.  A narrow rack with tall tines stands out, whereas a wide rack with short ones just doesn't for me.

I like width. Two years ago I was chasing a buck with a 22inch spread and I got the buck fever bad. I was out day and night after him, then naturally the guy neighboring my lease killed him. But, don't think I would have been as pumped about that buck if he was taller than wider.

Wide is good look for about 4 inches outside those ears and you got a good buck.
