Unless we get some rain and cooler weather by this weekend you had better take plenty of bottled water with you if you have to hike any distance to your stand or blind you will need it you can get in trouble quick if your not hydrated well i was out making a last check of shooting lanes this weekend and let me tell you it was hot and when you pull the trigger on that smoke pole watch out that the unburned powder don't catch the woods on fire because it is powder keg dry right now be safe and best of luck, and remember most of the state is under a burn ban now that means no camp fire.

What we would give for some nice cool weather and rain the forecast for opening weekend of muzzleloading is 84,84,85  get the shorts and t-shirts out put the gun up and ice the beer down its hard to sit on a stand when its 85 deer are lazy just like humans they will be up all night and laid up all day and in the last 3 days 500 acres in saline county and 200 acres in pulaski county have burned i live about 10 miles from Traskwood where the 500 acres burned and yesterday when i got home from work i had black cinders all over my yard and driveway that must have been one bada$$ fire.       P.S. better not forget the thermacell and some bug spray or you will be in itch city.
