I got the call today saying that a new record for Arkansas was shot last night with a Bow in the Pea Ridge area. I got to see him for myself with my wife at hook line sinker in Bella Vista today and thought i would share a pic with you guys. He scored 189 gross and i believe after deductions he was a mere 176. WHAT A STUD!

Apparently he missed it twice -- once with his muzzleloader and once with his bow -- before he finally got it.

Not many times in life that you get one chance at a buck like that ... much less three chances.

What a nice buck! There are not many hunters who get a shot at the same large buck 3 times, that is for sure! Kuddos to the hunter for staying on him. I am sure the kill shot did not come easy!

He only missed it once technically. He was at full draw for 5 Mins and had a staredown with the big brute only to let down because his shoulders were killing him. When i was talking to the hunter his phone was blowing up by numerous magazines it was pretty nuts. But i'm almost positive he's getting a full body mount!

Oh and the kill shot was only 24 yards with what looked like a rage hole! he had junk all over his bases. Truly an awesome buck!

Yeah I noticed that entry hole looked huge.

Any idea on the age of this buck?
