Sounds great doesn't it? Send the images immediately to your phone/computer? I'm on board. I hunt 2 hours away from where I live and this seemed like the best thing to hit deer hunting since the Thermocell. Does anyone have one of these? I got one a few weeks ago and put it out today, drove the 2 hours back to my house to activate it on my computer and got all set up, 3 hours later it still says activating camera. I looked at some troubleshooting and it says it works with clear shot to sky but MAY work under tree cover. That seems like a bit of a rip-off to me. How often are we in Arkansas going to be using these cameras with no tree cover? Texas, sure. But in Arkansas? I guess if I had an open food plot and put a pole up to mount the thing on, but man, that really aggravated me. I now have to go back next weekend and try to either cut some branches WAY up top or move the whole setup to a more open area and even then I won't know if it works or not until I get back to my computer. I don't know if I would recommend this to anyone yet, so buyer beware. I'll update if I get it fixed and start getting some pics.

Thanks for sharing this info.  That does indeed sound like a rip-off.  I'm curious to know how it turns out for you.

Best, hope things get worked out on the gps part.  The thing should "acquire" at some point.  At times the satellite alignment might be at odd hours.  GPSs are great things, I don't go into the woods without one nowdays-I have a Garmin 76 and it is without the topos.  I do consult maps before I go into strange woods, usually on both the computer and topos, but I also usually drive around and get a few coordinates with the gps before launching off into uncharted territory so I can have references.  I used mine when bear hunting in thick overhead cover a couple weeks ago and it worked ok, took a few minutes to acquire at times.

Don't know if this will help or not, but my receiver has an outlet for an extended antenna for reception.  I've used it in vehicles and in planes when in the air.  You might check out that route-would sure be easier than clearing a hole or waiting on leaf fall.

Well, I have to say... I'm impressed! I got on this morning and EVERYTHING is online. I even have a maps section that shows a gps satellite (via google maps) of my woods, and an icon of a camera EXACTLY where my camera is! No images yet, guess it just got online this morning, but you can control EVERYTHING from your computer. You can switch from still images to video, you can change time between photos, how many photos you allow to upload per day... I am very impressed. Now where they get you is the monthly fee that you may not know about. The camera itself is a one time purchase, not cheap, but one time. And then you have to have a monthly plan of either $40 -$50. BUT when you aren't using it, you can freeze your account for however long and then just restart it when you are ready. For my purposes, 2 hours from deer woods, I can't beat it. It's expensive, but seeing as I don't have to buy any new clothes, bow equipment or anything else this year, it's worth it to me.

YIKES!!!  That seems a little pricey.  I think $20 a month would be more reasonable.

I've read some concerning reviews about these and people have said the same thing. I've read where lots of the people were hanging them on posts in right-a-ways to solve the same exact problem you are having. Hope it works out for ya. Can't wait to see some bucks from it.

So... here are a few pictures from the moultrie website... they send me a text and let me know I have pictures immediately after it takes them, I log on to the website from phone, or computer, wherever I happen to be and can see what is there at that moment.

I also like the feature that shows an icon with a google maps satellite image of where my camera is in my woods, and the feature that shows your battery life/latest activity.

All in all, pricey, but it does what it says it will do. For me, 2 hours from hunting spot and not able to go check cards and figure out where I need to be until the weekends... it's awesome!

Also, you can change settings on the camera from your computer at any time.
