Looking at a few acres near Winslow in the National Forest, White Rock WMA area.  Do you know if there are any black bears in that area?  Hunting possibilities?  My husband and I both love hunting and fishing.  We live in Texas and he is retired.  I am still guiding fishing trips in Feb and March. www.riverridgetx.com   I want a few acres so we can come up in the summer when it is so hot here in east texas.  Realize this year is a bad time for that area as far as heat.  Excited about having a place to come up for a few days to hunt and fish from time to time.  Love to deer hunt, but my favorite is turkeys.  Tom (my better half) loves loves loves squirrel hunting with his little dog Sally.  Anyway, I got a bear in Canada but was curious about the possiblity of getting a bear close to the property if we buy it.  Look forward to hearing from any of you on suggestions of where to hunt and any pointers about the White Rock WMA.  Thanks in advance for your help.   Jane
