The first flakes of the season fell just north of us here in Springfield, MO early this morning. Wonder if it's going to be a cold, wintry winter?

I sure hope so I love hunting in weather, rain, cold, snow, ice its all good. It weeds out the part-time hunters and makes the woods  change, nothing better than watching the the woods fill up with snow or see fall timber with a misty freezing rain. Love the woods in the winter. This year I'm really looking forward to busting ducks on some nasty winter days!

I love snow in the woods a deer stands out like a sore thumb on a white background and as mpoor says the fair weather hunters will be home watching the tv and doing honey-dos the serenity is good for the soul its cool when you get a time frame when the birds start feeding and everything seems to come to life the air is cool and crisp man i cant wait coffee2

leave the woods cleaner than you found them for our next generation of hunters.
