Here's a list of site suggestions I think would be cool to see added to the site. Feel free to give your opinions on the list and share your own site suggestions. - Site Suggestions/Site Feedback forum
A place for people to share site suggestions and give feedback on current site features. A place for users to post the problems and errors they have encountered. A place for new members to introduce themselves. A place to discuss all of the hunting and fishing video games out on the market. A place for members to post a B/S/T list. Also, there could be a Positive Feedback subforum to give positive feedback for a user and a Negative Feedback subforum to give negative feedback for a user. A chat room would either go over really good or really bad, but everyone on here seems really chill so I doubt there would be many problems.

all very good suggestions, really into the introduction forum, might go ahead and get that built out, currently we have a classifieds section to buy/sell/ or trade, but we don't have a positive or negative feedback area.
The chat room is something kevin and i have talked about and could possibly implement down the road. I appreciate the suggestions big time, really helps to know what the users want. We will talk about them and get the most important ones implemented first.

Thanks Wizard, love to hear feedback from members.
The introduction forum also struck a chord with me. We did used to have a tech forum but when we changed to this new forum about a year ago we cut down a lot of our forums to make it a bit simpler.

Would it be possible to have a larger variety of emoticons? It isn't that important, but it would be neat nonetheless.

Here are a couple more ideas: A place to post all site-related announcements. A place to ask questions and give tips and advice on managing hunting and fishing properties.

Other things we are still working on: - Hunting and Fishing Guides Page
- Arkansas Eats section (listing our picks for the best restaurants around the state, suitable for hunters/fishermen
- Lodging (same as above)
- ArkansasHuntingLand.net - where are in the process of building this website out. It lists hunting properties from around Arkansas
I know I'm forgetting things, I'll add to later when my mind is working.

I’ve got two more ideas…
The first pertains to the color of a member’s name.
I think this is what we have now:
Red = administrators Green = moderators Maroon = members who have 15 or more posts (I think I've noticed that once they reach 50 posts then their name goes back to black?) Black = members with 0-14 posts (and members with 50+ posts?)
Here is my idea:
Red = administrators Green = moderators Gold = members with 1000+ posts Silver = members with 500-999 posts Bronze = members with 250-499 posts Blue= members with 175-249 posts Brown = members with 100-174 posts Yellow = members with 75-99 posts White = members with 50-74 posts Gray = members with 25-49 posts Black = members with 0-24 posts
So far, a member’s name is only shown in color where it lists who is currently online and where it lists all users who have been online in the past 24 hours. I think it would be neat to also show the color of a member’s name where it says “Last post by so-and-so” to the right of each forum on the forum index page. It might even be neat to show the color of their name on the boards when they make a post.
This idea could be both good and bad. It might be an incentive to get members more active on the boards, but it could also lead to people “post whoring” just to “gain rank” in color.
My second idea pertains to letting members show off what clubs and organizations in which they belong.
There could be a section where you edit your profile that lists different clubs and organizations and you could put a check by each one in which you belong. Each club/organization would be listed by their acronym and then the full name would be listed in parenthesis.
For public display, only the acronym of each club/organization would be listed.
There are two places that could list the acronyms: 1. somewhere on a member’s profile 2. somewhere under their name when they make a post on the boards (most likely under their avatar)
Here are examples of some clubs/organizations:
ABA (Arkansas Bowhunters Association) ABBA (Arkansas Black Bear Association) ABSFN (Arkansas B.A.S.S. State Federation Nation) AFF (Arkansas Fly Fishers) ASA (Archery Shooters Association) ATA (Arkansas Trappers Association) AWF (Arkansas Wildlife Federation) BAA (Bowfishing Association of America) B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportsman Society) BOA (Bowfishers of Arkansas) DSC (Dallas Safari Club) DU (Ducks Unlimited) FFF (Federation of Fly Fishers) IBO (International Bowhunting Organization) MDF (Mule Deer Foundation) NABC (North American Bowhunting Coalition) NAGA (North American Gamebird Association) NFAA (National Field Archery Association) NRA (National Rifle Assocation) NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) NTA (National Trappers Association) NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation) PBS (Professional Bowhunters Society) PCA (Professional Catfishing Association) PF (Pheasants Forever) QU (Quail Unlimited) RGS (Ruffed Grouse Society) RMBS (Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society) RMEF (Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation) SCI (Safari Club International) TU (Trout Unlimited) WSF (Wild Sheep Foundation) WTU (Whitetails Unlimited)

Can we include other non hunting/fishing but Arkansas/outdoor related clubs. Like I started a club a few years back NFWA (Nissan Four Wheelers of Arkansas). Due to lack of time between college and med school the club has dwindled now, but just an idea to get more info about clubs in general in Arkansas out there. Unfortunately we all have to do stuff besides hunt and fish all the time.

These are good ideas. We do have some restrictions with this forum as far as how much customization we can do, but I will see what we can do. I think all this, or at least most of it, can be done.
Viper do you drive a Titan or Frontier? I have a Titan, lifted up 5.5 inches, 315 hankooks.

I drive a Frontier. Bright yellow lifted 5" sitting on 33" tires. Been a lot of work and money and I am nowhere near done with it. I will never get rid of it. I figure once a get a DD truck it will be my dedicated trail/hunting truck. Eventually it will have SAS, exo, all that fun stuff!

All these ideas you guys have would make things so much easier. I would just have to go to one website for everything hunting and fishing wise. This is already my homepage so all I would have to do is click on the internet and boom hunting and fishing information highway.

I promise you guys we are doing everything we can, as fast as we can, to make this THE best site on the internet for Arkansas hunting and fishing.
We've only been around a couple of years, and I'm pretty proud of what we have done so far. However, it's only going to get better. I'm so pumped about the things we have rising on the horizon!

A big thing I forgot to mention is the county-by-county map that will list WMA's/NWR's, major fishing lakes and rivers, shooting ranges, boat ramp locations, etc. for each county.
So if you're going to be in an area of the state, and are wondering what there is to do in the area hunting/fishing wise, all you have to do is click the county you'll be in and boom, all right there for you.
If you guys have any more ideas to add to the above categories for each county, let me know.

Wizard, I put this into effect. Thinks for the idea. The colors are as follows: Admins: Red Moderators: Green 1,000 plus posts: Gold 750 plus posts: Silver 500 plus posts: Bronze 250 plus posts: Orange 150 plus posts: Light Blue Everybody else stays black.
