Saturday morning when i got out of the camper just before daylight i was looking for hurricane warning flags i just new they had to be close it had to be in the 35 to 40 mph range but i took off to my spot anyway sat until it got light but the the wind never let up a bit  i heard a couple of owl hoots and a few crows but never a gobble so i did a little calling with the box and the diaphram to my surprise  a hen showed up about ten yards to my right so i thought i was in the right place about that time i heard a shot on the ridge above me and got a text from my buddy saying he had a bird on the ground then about 10 minutes later i heard 2 more shots he had carried that bird about a 1/4 mile over his back laid it down for a short rest and it got up and started running off after shooting and chasing it for about 20 minutes he got it back i know it sounds crazy but this guy is a no nonsense hunter i guess you need to make sure your bird is dead it sounds crazy but i swear its true i hear cats have 9 lives but i didnt know it applied to turkeys BangHead

Haha, I've heard of this happening before, especially with deer. Just never know I guess.
