i did pretty good over at mulberry opening morning with a limit of teal by 730.  although it sounded like world war 3 over there till about 930. haha i dunno if the rest of them just couldnt shoot or what. haha. and a bunch of buddies have killed mallards gadwalls and teal, and even one pintail around clarksville.... lookin like since the river is the only big body of water around these parts right now  looks like its producing alot of the action.
with the cold front comin in soon ill be bankin on another good day.  during the week!

yall share your experiences and where ya went.... ( and of course, i dont want you naming your honey whole.... just a city or river will do.... not like yall will give away your honey holes anyway! haha.)

Harley and I had our limit of wood ducks by 7:30, this was Harley's first hunt and he did great. The first two fell together in thick button bush so I went with him and sent him from about 20 yds away and he found them easily. The last one fell out in the same stuff and he retrived it by himself, through heavy brush and the duck flapping. He is a little green, but I couldn't be more proud of my buddy! Now I'm trying to find some big ducks, I'm green too.

Heard alot of shooting.  Bunch of people limited out but we didn't have much luck.  Our end of the slough is just too dry.

Well Saturday we ended up with 5. Had at least 800 pass within 50 yards of me. We quit just after 7. Sunday we ended up with 6. I'm gonna have to blame the dog on that one. I tripled up on mallards and got none of them. Apparently they were crippled and the dog let them get away. I was very pleased on Sunday at how well the ducks responded to calling. I was able to work hundreds of birds in groups of 8 to 30.

I spoke to the folks at Hollabend NWR and they told me the birds are not here yet. Lots of woodies but not too many big ducks. all this rain will flood some places I've been watching hope we start seeing more birds. Has anyone seen many around Russellville?

Saw tons of birds, but no luck with the green heads, just got a few. Woodies were nowhere to be seen. Weird! Hurricane should be 100% flooded by Sat. Should be some good hunting in the timber!
