Its a way to get rid of a problem i believe in fair chase but they are in the city limits and the problem will  get out of control if something is not done, shoot its out of control now the anti hunters are mad but most of the meat will be donated to hunters feeding the hungry so i say tree huggers get over it argue

from what i have read it has some pretty strick guidelines.

Like any bands shot go to the city (kind of stupid if you ask me)
First bird of the 2 bird limit must go to hunters feeding the hungry, i think both should go
Must follow AGFC set limits ands shooting hours.

From what i understand there are so many birds out there it won't be like hunting more of target shoot with alot of red tape. The golf course should have just shut down and when out with some bows and taken care of the problem themselves, instead of making a big deal about the whole debacle.

Doubt it happens now

I bet it happens. I got drawn as an alternate so we'll see. My wife thinks it's unsportsmanlike, but the park will get rid of them one way or another so I don't see anything wrong with letting people that want to do it-do it. How many people have you heard say, "I wish we could hunt the golf course."? I know I've said it. It seems like a win, win, win situation. Hunters happy, people get fed, population gets checked. The anti's need to realize that the geese WILL be taken care of and this is possibly the most beneficial solution. The bow hunting doesn't work or at least not in my experience. Centennial Valley CC has a depredation permit to allow archery killing the geese. Some of the guys have done it and it hasn't made a dent.
