i just use whatever is cheapest at walmart, gander, etc. I have one in my ranger, boat, and truck and i couldn't tell you the brand of them. They just work.

I would get the cheapest with the most candle power because if you are like me it will break soon enough

Ditto on the cheapest. I have two of the cheapest Walmart had to offer. One is a Night Blaster the other is I think Brinks? Both are 1 million cp. Both are around 15 years old. Both still work. I've had to change the bulbs once or twice. The most important thing is: DO NOT GET A RECHARGEABLE!! You will regret it. If you can, get a low power like 400,000 to carry along with you as well. The high powers are great, but if you get in fog they will blind you whereas the low powers will let you see better.

Ditto and ditto. Every spotlight I have ever had hasn't lasted long either from being cheap or from getting banged around a little bit. I would just hit up ebay and get the cheapest.

well i had the brinkmann 3million cp rechargable spotlight from walmart for like 40$ and it was awesome for like 2 yrs then i lost it and cant find it. but all the reviews said they are horrible and i think i just got lucky.

im contemplaying attaching a cigerette lighter to my trolling motor  battery and seeing how that does...
i really wish i could figure out how to attach a light to one of those connectors so it could go in those slots were the night light poles go. now that would be easy and awesome. :| any ideas guys?

I'm pretty sure they make an adapter for that. The first thing I do to a new spotlight is cut off the pigtail. I wrap the wire around the post and wing nut it into place. I've never had any luck with the pigtails.

I do the same except I put battery cable ends on the light so I can stow it.
