Saw the first signs the deer are thinking about "it" this evening in Izard County. Small buck jogging around with a doe. Won't be long now.

Saw a buck chasing does tonight in Fulton County. First activity I've seen. He didn't have his nose to the ground but was definitely interested and following two of them.

Saw a buck chasing a doe earlier this week in Sharp County. Also came into a a bunch of thick brush woods and there were rubs and scrapes everywhere. If they are not beyond pre-rut they are close. The next couple of weeks should be good.

Killed an 8 point Sunday in Northern Fulton County. He came out 90-to-nothing with his nose up a doe's butt. Definitely starting to hit it hard here.

Watched quite the show this morning between a fork horn and a doe. Doe had two little ones with her and every time they would even come close to mamma he would run them off. He chased her around and around for over 2 hours and she would stop and pee every so often.

Spike chased off a 6 point buck this evening under my stand. They were both going after the same pair of does that had passed through earlier.. Also had a buck make a beeline for me about 2 pm today about 10 minutes after a triple grunt. They are still active in North Central Arkansas for sure. Use your grunt, it will work.

Yet another spike chasing a doe this morning. Watched him on her tail around 7:30 then saw him again at 9:30, he was chasing hard. Could be post rut activity, not sure.
